BESSEMER, Ala.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Milo Carlton’s philosophy was simple: “Use high quality, fresh and natural ingredients, listen to your customers and never sacrifice taste.” Today, 70 years later, the same focus remains true and the results are still sweet.
This week, at the North American Tea Championship in Los Angeles, Milo’s swept the Ready to Drink Sweet Tea category. Milo’s Famous Sweet Tea took the top spot, new Milo’s Café Style Light Sweet placed second and Milo’s M59 third. Milo’s Sweet Tea & Lemonade and Milo’s Café Style Green Citrus both scored third in their respective categories.
“In 1946 my grandparents started fresh brewing custom tea blended with pure cane sugar because it tasted great,” Milo’s CEO Tricia Wallwork said. “Two generations later, Milo’s follows the same tradition, just on a much larger scale.”
This is not the first year that Milo’s has tasted success at the North American Tea Championship. Milo’s had 4 teas win or place in last year’s competition, and has placed each year since 2010, every year they entered.
“At the end of the day it is about our loyal customers,” Wallwork said. “They want fresh drinks with real ingredients they can pronounce that taste great, are refreshing and good for you.”
