Ise Press Center Welcomes the Press During G7 Summit

Hot springs resort and others offer complimentary services for the press

ISE, Japan--()--Ise City, the hosting region of G7 Ise-Shima Summit, opened the Ise Press Center to serve both domestic and international journalists visiting prior to and during the summit. The press are welcome to drop by and receive the following services:

  • English-speaking staff who can provide tourism information and guide you about Ise City
  • Press passes to experience limited-time services and menus provided by cooperating shops
  • Small tables with free Wi-Fi

It is NOT the International Media Center (IMC).

  • 140 shops in Ise are at your service

A voluntary team of 140 shops and restaurants cooperating with Ise Press Center have formed the “Ise-Shima Summit Press Supporters” to appeal attractions such as gourmet and culture. Some of them will offer limited-time events, complimentary menus or services for the press.
The press supporters will have blue posters in their shops, so please drop in if you need any help.

  • Refresh in a Japanese hot springs resort!

A major hot springs resort “MITASUNO YU” will provide bathing experiences for the press. You can enjoy more than 10 kinds of baths such as open-air baths, jet baths and steam baths. They will provide complimentary pick-up services and special programs during the summit. Why not take a brief rest during your busy schedule?

  • Spacious press area in front of NAIKU shrine

A Japanese restaurant IWATOYA, located right in front of the Ise Jingu Inner Shrine (NAIKU), will provide its spacious dining area to the press with a seating capacity of 160 people. Please feel welcome to work or take a break!
