TORONTO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Today, for the sixth consecutive year, Kiewit, one of North America’s largest and most respected construction and engineering organizations, is being recognized as one of this year’s Best Workplaces in Canada. The list will appear in a special national report in today’s Globe and Mail.
“As we celebrate our 75-year anniversary in Canada and our sixth consecutive year on the Best Workplaces list, we recognize this success is built by our employees,” said Bruce Grewcock, chairman and CEO of parent company, Kiewit Corporation. “We know we have the best workforce, not only in construction and engineering, but across all industries. Our culture has always focused on providing people with meaningful opportunities to grow and thrive, including entrusting them with increasing roles and responsibilities on some of the most complex construction and engineering projects in North America, and training and leadership development programs that build upon their career success.”
This list of “Best Workplaces in Canada” is compiled by Great Place to Work® Institute Canada. The competition process is based on two criteria: two-thirds of the total score comes from a survey completed by a random selection of employees, along with their open-ended comments about their organization; the remaining one-third of the score comes from an in-depth review of the organization’s culture, including an evaluation of HR policies and procedures.
This year’s list received over 300 nominations and over 60,000 employees participated in the 2016 “Best Workplaces in Canada” survey.
Kiewit is one of North America’s largest and most respected construction and engineering organizations.
