BELLEVUE, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Two leading-edge technology companies – one American and one Korean – are teaming up to form a worldwide alliance in location-based Virtual Reality (VR).
Seattle-based VRstudios, the leading VR company providing wireless, full-motion and multi-user VR experiences for entertainment and enterprise customers, and Korea’s Simuline, Inc., the global provider of location-based amusement and entertainment products, announced today that the companies are entering into a strategic distribution and product development partnership.
Simuline will distribute VRstudios’ products and services directly and through their extensive global network of partners and distributors. In addition to their base of operation in Korea, Simuline has a strong presence in the Middle East and Africa.
Simuline and VRstudios will now combine their unique technologies to develop new experiential products to serve the location-based amusement and entertainment destination industry. “No in-home experience can begin to approach this combination of Simuline’s 4D active simulation with our full-motion VR. That’s the aim of so many global entertainment firms that contact us. They don’t want to offer what will soon be available in the living room,” said Mary Jesse, VRstudios’ chief strategy officer.
“Simuline looks forward to partnering with VRstudios, a global powerhouse in virtual reality entertainment and commercial enterprise solutions,” said Isaac Ha, Head of Overseas Sales, of Simuline. “VRstudios’ flexible VR platform, distinctive abilities, and long-term customer engagement approach make them an outstanding partner to enhance our offerings to customers and partners. Working with VRstudios will bring new ways to differentiate Simuline from other attraction companies.”
Today’s news illustrates another milestone for VRstudios’ global expansion and the growing interest in its next-generation entertainment capabilities. “VRstudios is thrilled to partner with Simuline, who has an impressive collection of amusement destination providers and partners,” added Jesse. “Combining VRstudios’ revolutionary approach to VR with Simuline’s entertainment products and networks will advance the standard for amazing entertainment content experiences.”
Both companies will jointly showcase their entertainment products at the DEAL conference and exhibition show in Dubai, April 19-21.
