FARMINGTON, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Independent agency Primacy announced today that it is a finalist in three categories for the 20th Annual MITX Awards, as well as one category for the New England Society for Healthcare Communications’ 26th Annual Lamplighter Awards (NESHCo Lamplighter Awards). These recognitions are testament to Primacy’s unparalleled education and healthcare industry expertise, digital strategy capabilities and solution-oriented technology.
Held annually by the Massachusetts Innovation & Technology Exchange, the MITX awards recognize excellence in concepts and creations in marketing and technology produced or developed in New England. Since 1996, the MITX Awards have grown to become the largest and most prestigious awards competition in the country, showcasing the best creative marketing and technological accomplishments emerging from New England. This year more than 120 senior leaders from Boston businesses judged entries for the 33 MITX award categories. Primacy is a finalist for three MITX categories this year, including:
Best Digitally-Powered Experiential Marketing and Education Marketing Categories
- Primacy is a finalist in these two categories for its work with Regis University. The agency created an Oculus virtual reality experience for potential new students to tour the university in 3D without having to travel to the campus. Primacy closely collaborated with Regis’ internal teams, from current students to athletic directors to the admissions department, to create a seamless, creative and innovative experience for prospective students at college fairs around the world to truly feel on campus. Regis University, in partnership with Primacy, is the first higher education institution to implement this technology to a comprehensive degree and scale. Regis University welcomed its largest ever enrolled class this past year.
Healthcare, Wellness & Pharmaceutical Marketing Category
- Primacy is recognized in this category for its work with the Yale New Haven Health System, for whom it created a responsive website redesign and technology integration within a new content management platform. Primacy redesigned the Yale New Haven Health System website to help better guide patients through their healthcare journey and give them improved tools to find the information they are looking for, whether it’s information about a condition, or finding a physician or a location. Since the redesign has been implemented, there has been a significant increase in website usage: time spent on the site is up 111 percent, and website search usage is 150 percentage higher compared to similar healthcare sites in the same space.
NESHCo’s Lamplighter Awards
Primacy is also a finalist in the 26th annual NESHCo’s Lamplighter Awards for its website redesign and brand cohesion work for the Yale New Haven Health System. NESHCo created this program to recognize excellent and exceptional healthcare communications, and each year honors the best projects in a wide variety of categories, including publications, public relations and advertising. This year’s program received more than 380 entries, making for a record-breaking year and an extremely competitive awards program.
“Our work with both Regis University and the Yale New Haven Health System has been an opportunity to bring cutting-edge, engaging digital experiences that deliver tangible value to their constituents,” said Jeff Johnson, SVP of strategic practices at Primacy. “We are honored to be recognized by two prestigious organizations, MITX and NESHCo. It demonstrates that leading organizations in the healthcare and education industries who embrace innovation and emerging technologies are seeing very favorable outcomes.”
The MITX award winners will be announced on May 25 at the 20th Annual MITX Awards Ceremony in Boston. One week later at the 26th Annual Lamplighter Awards Gala on June 1 in Providence, Rhode Island, winners for the Lamplighter Awards will be announced.
