PITTSFORD, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--GateHouse Media, LLC (“GateHouse Media” or the “Company”) announced today that Alain Begun, a seasoned marketing executive with a track record of developing innovative and successful marketing initiatives for national media companies, has been named Vice President of Marketing for the Company. Begun’s appointment is effective immediately.

In this newly created position, Begun will be responsible for establishing and supporting GateHouse Media brand communications – within B2B channels, local communities, and the media industry. He will develop and execute large scale, innovative and integrated marketing programs to drive new advertising/sponsorship revenue streams and to more deeply engage our consumer audience.
Immediately prior to GateHouse Media, Begun served as Vice President of Marketing at TV Guide and TVInsider.com. He also spent several years in marketing and business leadership positions at Meredith Corporation (Better Homes & Gardens and Ladies’ Home Journal), Time, Inc. (Fortune and People), and The Week Publications (The Week and Mental Floss). Begun has demonstrated continued success in both creating and shaping brands, and in helping national and local businesses access targeted media audiences.
