Dr. Gardner will oversee the development of the iGroup suite of products focused on reducing the rising medical burden on the workers’ compensation industry. Dr. Gardner is a 22-year veteran of predictive analytics in healthcare and workers’ compensation.

Laura B. Gardner, M.D., M.P.H., Ph.D., has extensive experience analyzing U.S. workers’ compensation and group health medical care data for the purpose of quality improvement. Prior to joining LeanTaaS, Dr. Gardner was for 22 years president and medical director of Axiomedics Research, Inc., a research, consulting and software development firm she founded in 1994. She has also served as principal investigator for the California Workers’ Compensation Institute; as chief knowledge engineer for Paradigm Management Services, a disease management company specializing in catastrophic occupational injuries; and as director of pharmacoeconomics for a pharmaceutical manufacturer.
Dr. Gardner earned her bachelor’s degree in biology (magna cum laude) from Brandeis University, her M.D. from Albert Einstein College of Medicine and both an M.P.H. in health policy and a Ph.D. in health economics from the University of California at Berkeley. As a physician, she is board certified in General Preventive Medicine and Public Health and is a fellow of the American College of Preventive Medicine.
