NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Shiseido Americas Corporation (“Shiseido Americas”), a subsidiary of Tokyo-based, global cosmetics company Shiseido Co. Ltd., today announced the appointment of Ronald Gee as Chief Financial Officer, effective April 22, 2016. Mr. Gee will lead Shiseido Americas’ finance and information technology operations and support regional integration efforts as the company continues to enhance corporate structure for its Shiseido prestige brands in the Americas, including NARS Cosmetics, Bare Escentuals, Shiseido Cosmetics America and Beauté Prestige International USA (BPI), as well as the company’s subsidiaries in Canada and Brazil. He will report to Marc Rey, President & CEO of Shiseido Americas. Frank Toscano, who has been serving as Interim Chief Financial Officer since October 2014 will remain at Shiseido as a consultant to work on a range of internal projects.
Mr. Gee comes to Shiseido from Coty, Inc., where he served as Chief Financial Officer of the Americas for three years and was responsible for leading the region’s strategic plan and commercial execution across the mass, prestige and salon channel businesses. Prior to Coty, he worked at L’Oréal USA for almost ten years, most recently as Vice President of Finance for the International Designer Collections, where he led all financial activities related to L’Oréal’s designer fragrances and prestige cosmetics and skincare brands. He also previously served in various financial, operations, planning and analysis roles at Kraft Foods, Inc. Mr. Gee received his Master of Business Administration in Finance and Marketing from the New York University Stern Graduate School of Business and his Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Columbia University.
