PARIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Maisons of the LVMH Group are delighted to announce the third Les Journées Particulières, which will take place on Friday, May 20 through Sunday, May 22, 2016. The event will unveil the expertise and savoir-faire of the Group’s exceptional venues to a wide public audience. There was an overwhelming response to the first two editions, with more than 100,000 visitors each year. In 2011, over 25 locations in France and across Europe were opened and this number almost doubled in 2013.
This year, nearly 40 Maisons and 50 different exceptional venues will open their doors to the public in Paris and other regions of France, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and Poland. As in previous years, the Christian Dior Salons on Avenue Montaigne in Paris, the Louis Vuitton Atelier in Asnières, the Chaumet salons at its Hotel Baudard de Saint-James location on Place Vendôme, and Berluti’s bespoke made-to-measure shoe workshop will all be open to the public.
New locations that will open their doors for the first time include: the Guerlain production site in Chartres, the Louis Vuitton Atelier in Sainte-Florence in the Vendée region of France, the Fendi headquarters in the Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana in Rome, the Loro Piana weaving and textiles factory in Roccapietra, Italy, the Moynat Atelier on rue de la Sourdière in Paris, and Moët & Chandon’s Viticulture and Oenological research institute at « Fort Chabrol » in Épernay. The Fondation Louis Vuitton, which was inaugurated in October 2014, will also open its doors in Paris.
Antoine Arnault, CEO of Berluti and President of Loro Piana commented: "Les Journées Particulières once again offers an opportunity for LVMH to highlight the richness and diversity of creativity, craftsmanship and savoir-faire at its Maisons. In previous editions, we have seen the pride with which the men and women who make up the Group and bring the Maisons to life have hosted the event. It is for this reason that we have decided to expand this new edition by opening new sites, but also by strengthening the link between tradition and modernity by launching a digital campaign in association with Instagram and Facebook".
Les Journées Particulières on Facebook and Instagram for the Global Community
Indeed, for this third edition, teams from Instagram and Facebook will assist LVMH with the digital presence of the event. Members of the Instagram community will use live behind the scenes imagery of the visits to private venues, unveiling of the savoir-faire and meetings with the artisans to communicate real-time stories from the event around the world.
Les Journées Particulières are taking place uniquely in France and other countries across Europe. They reflect the Group’s desire to pay tribute to the artisanal excellence of its Maisons. The success of the preceding two editions is a testament to the public’s enthusiasm for the event, which gives access to a wide range of the Group’s ateliers, wine stores and cellars, private houses, family residences, and historic boutiques. This strong heritage of artisanal traditions constitutes an asset of great importance for France and all European countries, both in terms of economic impact and job creation.
Les Journées Particulières celebrate the extraordinary skills and savoir-faire that make up the Maisons of the LVMH Group. These locations with great artisanal traditions are the pride of the 50,000 staff that LVMH employs in Europe, of which 23,000 employees and over 100 production facilities are in France.
On May 20, 21 and 22, the public will once again be able to discover LVMH’s rich heritage and the excellence and savoir–faire of its artisans.
|The website will be live from March 21. It will then be possible to create a profile in order to receive the Les Journées Particulières newsletter and register for visits beginning on April 21.|
