HILLIARD, Ohio--(BUSINESS WIRE)--U.S. Properties Group (USPG) expanded its portfolio of shopping centers into West Tennessee. USPG acquired The Streets of Indian Lake, the lifestyle shopping center in Hendersonville TN, northeast of Nashville. The USPG team continues to expand their portfolio and operations throughout the Midwest and Southeast. “We bring new life and value to the community and property which then flows into the area’s economy and tax base,” states Gord Wiebe, Director of USPG.
“We are pleased to add this dynamic multi-tenant shopping center to the U.S. Properties Group’s growing retail portfolio,” said Gord Wiebe. “A host of retail, restaurant and service merchants are represented and we plan to enhance the entertainment and fashion aspects of this new acquisition to better serve the growing market of Sumner County.”
USPG has acquired and improved “value add” shopping center assets since 2002. The 249,121 square-foot Streets of Indian Lake retail center is located at Indian Lake Boulevard and Vietnam Veterans Boulevard in Hendersonville, TN.
The property supports a growing 20-minute market of an estimated 339,225 persons predominantly north of the Cumberland River in Sumner County, TN, notably the communities of Hendersonville and Gallatin. Strategically, USPG maintains a dominant position in each market entered, meeting the needs and desires of retailers and their customers.
The company owns approximately 4 million square feet and redevelops shopping centers in eleven states covering the Midwest and Southeast United States, which includes Alabama, Georgia, Illinois, Michigan, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia.
USPG has many tenant relationships which could enhance the Center including DSW Shoes, Starbucks, Chipotle, Joe's Crab Shack, Longhorn Steakhouse, J.Crew, Game Stop, Plow & Hearth, American Eagle, J.Jill, New York & Company, Aveda, New Balance, and Select Comfort, to name a few. USPG also has major anchor capabilities with Kohl’s, Belk, Best Buy, hhgregg, Dick’s, Target, and many more in their portfolio of existing tenants.
“The Streets of Indian Lake aligns with USPG’s strategy as a growth tool to future successes. It is an ideal example of a property in a market that has tremendous residential growth and a dynamic retail corridor. USPG will invest substantial time and dollars to enhance the retail experience in this property and the surrounding area, with a desire to work with local developers on additional retail projects in Hendersonville. We take a long-term approach to ownership,” concludes Wiebe.
