NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Bliss Lawyers is delighted to announce the addition of Randi Rosenblatt as its new Director of Business Development. Rosenblatt will oversee the planning, leadership and management of the business development operations of the Company. She joins Bliss from Heineken USA, where she served as Senior Counsel, Director, prior to which she practiced as a corporate attorney at the law firms of Schiff Hardin LLP and Watson Farley and Williams LLP. "We are thrilled to have Randi join our team," remarked Co-Founder and Managing Director, Deborah Epstein Henry. "Randi's vision and insights will enable us to further expand our national footprint."
As an alternative legal model, Bliss disrupts the legal profession by providing high caliber lawyers to work at clients (called “secondments”), while the lawyers are employed by Bliss. Bliss also offers "extended interviews" where attorneys start temporarily to ensure a good fit prior to being hired directly by the client. Additionally, Bliss handles direct hire placements. While most of Bliss' clients are in-house legal departments, Bliss launched a law firm division in 2014 in response to increasing demand.
The Bliss model operates from a virtual platform, eliminating any fixed real estate costs, thereby positioning Bliss to pass significant savings on to its clients while simultaneously providing generous compensation packages to its employees. "Bliss provides its clients with cost-effective legal solutions while the flexibility of secondments offers Bliss’ attorneys the ability to better balance their careers and lives outside of the office," said Suzie Scanlon Rabinowitz, Co-Founder and Managing Director. The Company is certified as majority women-owned (by WBENC), which has been a distinguisher for clients focused on increasing their use of diverse suppliers.
"Having practiced law in both the law firm and in-house settings, I have a deep appreciation of Bliss' increasing dominance in the legal market," said Rosenblatt. "I am honored to join the Bliss team and look forward to aligning the interests of our clients and lawyers - an alignment that before Bliss, seemed unattainable."
Bliss' talent team, led by Susie Elitzky, maximizes opportunities for its client base through its bench of over 15,000 attorneys nationwide. Elitzky’s training as the former domestic head of recruiting for a global law firm enables her to manage, with her seasoned talent team, the constant influx of searches and candidates, providing Bliss with a competitive advantage. "The demand for staffing flexibility continues to grow as is demonstrated by Bliss' expanded national platform," remarked Henry. "With the addition of Randi, we are uniquely positioned to lead the legal profession to address the full panoply of clients’ staffing needs." As Bliss continues to penetrate the legal market, Rosenblatt will be integral to the Company's growth plans and mission of 'Happy Clients. Happy Lawyers.'
