SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Tech PR agency Blanc & Otus today announced that Neil McAllister, former reporter at The Register, has joined the agency as media and content director. Neil will lead Blanc & Otus’ content marketing team and will work closely with the company’s diverse portfolio of enterprise and consumer technology clients to conceptualize and create compelling content across earned, paid and owned channels.
Brands continue to prioritize content marketing, as more than half of B2B marketers plan to increase their content marketing budgets in 2016. Impactful content plays a critical role in helping brands stand out from the competition. It’s this content that allows brands to reach customers’ heads and hearts.
"I'm excited to join this team that I've worked alongside for many years as an editor and reporter,” said Neil. "I'm looking forward to helping build what's already a strong content business into an industry-leading practice at Blanc & Otus."
“We are thrilled to have Neil join our team,” said Annemiek Hamelinck, general manager, Blanc & Otus. “Neil’s background as a reporter and his experience in IT are invaluable to us and our clients. He will lead our fast-growing content team and build upon our services that help our clients tell the right stories, to the right audiences, at the right time, on the right channel.”
With more than 20 years of experience in media and IT, Neil most recently was a reporter for The Register, covering IT, software development and mobile devices. Prior to joining The Register, he worked as a senior editor for InfoWorld. He has also worked as a web development consultant, technical lead at Red Sky Interactive, systems administrator at Primo Angeli Inc. and IT manager at Big Top Productions.
