BOISE, Idaho--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Cradlepoint, the global leader in software-defined 4G LTE network solutions for enterprises, announced today that Edward Walton, vice president for North American channels and alliances at Cradlepoint, has been selected as a 2016 CRN Channel Chief. This is the third consecutive year CRN has named Cradlepoint to the list of Channel Chiefs. The annual list represents top leaders in the IT channel who excel at driving growth and revenue in their organizations through channel partners. Walton doubled the size of Cradlepoint’s channel programs in 2015 and drove initiatives such as Cradlepoint University and a K-12 education program, allowing partners to more easily gain technical certifications, sell to new verticals, and enhance their portfolios and sales performance.
Under Walton’s leadership in 2015, Cradlepoint boosted engagement with its partners, improving their profitability and ease of doing business on a global scale. Walton presided over the creation of the Partner Advisory Council (PAC), which represents a cross section of Cradlepoint’s most strategic partners. The PAC meets quarterly with Cradlepoint executives to discuss trends seen in the marketplace, how Cradlepoint can further enable and strengthen its partner community, and discuss product management. By providing more opportunities to improve sales and market presence, Cradlepoint is opening the door for long-term success for its partners.
“We congratulate Edward on being named a 2016 CRN Channel Chief. Our channel partners are critical to the success of our business, and his leadership is enabling us to work even more closely with our channel community and ensure their success,” said Ryan Adamson, chief revenue officer for Cradlepoint. “As Cradlepoint adds SDN capabilities to its LTE portfolio, it will be imperative to maintain these strong channel relationships. Together we will make it easier for every enterprise to complement, augment, and extend primary networks with software-defined LTE to achieve more efficient and reliable next-generation networks.”
"We are honored to present the 2016 lineup of CRN Channel Chiefs, comprised of outstanding executives who move our entire industry forward by cultivating exemplary partner programs and executing cutting-edge business strategy,” said Robert Faletra, CEO, The Channel Company. “They represent an extraordinary group of individuals who lead by example and serve as both invaluable advocates and innovators of the IT channel. We applaud their incredible strides and look forward to following their accomplishments in the coming year.”
