Tradeshift Partners with (RED) to Fight for an AIDS-Free Generation

Partnership Will Generate At Least $3 Million to Fight AIDS Over Next Three Years

Tradeshift, the global supplier collaboration platform with the goal to democratize business, today announced a partnership with (RED)

DAVOS, Switzerland--()--Tradeshift, the global supplier collaboration platform with the goal to democratize business, today announced a partnership with (RED) to deliver more than $3 million for the Global Fund to fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria by driving contributions from across its network. (TRADESHIFT)RED will be available as an app on the Tradeshift B2B platform, enabling all buyers to start buying for impact. The partnership will include a donation to the Global Fund from transactions as Tradeshift monetizes its rapidly growing network.

Businesses spend roughly $6.7 trillion every year on global trade. The opportunity to tap into this stream and redirect a percentage of it to the AIDS fight is an obvious way to help businesses easily embed social responsibility into their everyday procurement efforts in a seamless, frictionless way.

“Tradeshift is proud to be joining (RED) and becoming part of the iconic partnership history that has helped change the way industries operate and give. (RED) and Tradeshift are creating a platform for responsible buying,” said Christian Lanng, Tradeshift CEO & Co-founder. “The future of giving needs to go beyond one-off charity events. By integrating social entrepreneurship into our procurement process, we will encourage and deliver a steady stream of money to the AIDS fight. (TRADESHIFT)RED is an innovative way to drive impact buying, in addition to impact investing.”

The (TRADESHIFT)RED app facilitates a new model for giving by providing a real incentive for buyers to participate. Buyers can use the app to increase their savings while contributing to the global effort to end AIDS.

Deborah Dugan, CEO, (RED), said; “We are delighted to work with innovative players like Tradeshift that are disrupting the existing ways of doing business. We’re focused on building a positive and inclusive platform for corporate buying, and are excited about the huge impact we can make by tapping into everyday business-to-business transactions. Through the Tradeshift platform, we offer their business network an easy to support (RED)’s goal of delivering an AIDS-Free Generation.”
