PITTSBURGH--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Confluence, a global leader in investment data management automation for regulatory, financial and investor reporting, today announced the appointment of Gary Casagrande as Global Head of Investor Communications & Expense Solutions, a newly created position for the firm.
Casagrande has more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. As a recognized industry thought leader, he brings an in-depth understanding of mutual fund operations, regulations, project management, and quality control.
In his new role, Casagrande will oversee a line of business charged with defining and implementing the go-to-market strategy for Confluence's global suite of investor communications and expense management solutions, which include financial, marketing and legal reporting, as well as fund budgeting and invoice payments.
As part of his mandate, Casagrande will work directly with clients, regulators and industry influencers to identify immediate and longer term market demands. Those demands will inform Confluence's product innovation priorities as the company extends its footprint as the leader in converting asset managers' data into knowledge that can be easily shared with investors and regulators.
Casagrande joins Confluence from Brown Brothers Harriman (BBH), where he held the position as Head of Financial Reporting and Expense Administration. While at BBH, he was responsible for the overall delivery of financial reporting and expense administration client service as well as strategic product development. Prior to joining BBH, Casagrande served as the Head of the Treasury and Portfolio Compliance group at JPMorgan Chase.
"We are thrilled to have Gary join the Confluence team," said Todd Moyer, Executive Vice President, Global Business Development at Confluence. "The asset management industry is undergoing a dramatic shift, and businesses are much more reliant on stronger data management capabilities than ever before. Gary's deep market expertise and strong industry relationships will play an integral role in ensuring that we continue to identify emerging client needs and deliver innovative expense and investor communications solutions to the industry."
Casagrande is a frequent speaker at industry events, including Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA) and Investment Company Institute (ICI) conferences. He has also served as a representative on the ICI Accounting/Treasurers Committee.
