NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Smart Fission LLC, a software company offering a full stack high accuracy indoor positioning and navigation mobile platform, has joined the Unacast PROX network, the number one platform connecting beacons and other proximity sensors to online marketing, at scale, globally.
Smart Fission uses micro location technology to guide mobile device users to the exact position of products or points of interest in a venue or store, providing useful tools and information, from exhibitor details to whether a product is in stock, price comparisons and reviews. With access to Unacast’s unique products, Smart Fission clients in retail and events will be able to use behavioral data from proximity sensors to create a ‘physical world cookie’, retargeting visitors and customers online, encouraging ongoing dialogue and return footfall with more relevant, engaging and effective communications.
Smart Fission has just created Show Trekker, which launches this week in Las Vegas at the global consumer electronics and technology tradeshow, CES 2016, in conjunction with CES management and Radius Networks. The app will give attendees a better and more efficient experience by helping them find booths, exhibitions and stages in time and without getting lost. By adding Unacast’s technology, in the future it will be possible for attendees to be retargeted days after they leave the conference. For example, when browsing online domains they could see display ads re-engaging them to visit a store that sells the product presented at a booth they visited at the conference.
Show Trekker will be offered to attendees at two conventions in Hong Kong and Japan, and will be launched to shopping malls and retailers in March 2016. Through Unacast PROX, SmartFission will offer shopping malls and retailers a 360 solution by bringing users back to the store in addition to the in-store engagement.
Maheen Zaidi, CEO of Smart Fission said: "Joining Unacast PROX is an important step forward for Smart Fission and integral to the future of our apps. Being able to offer continued customer engagement on and offline, in venue and beyond, by connecting proximity data to online domains is very exciting indeed. Clients in both retail and events don’t want customers to disappear when they leave their location. Unacast’s technology allows us to continue the dialogue and demonstrate a key benefit of proximity, which until now has been missing.”
Thomas Walle, CEO and co-founder of Unacast added: “We’re delighted to welcome Smart Fission to the PROX Network. It’s a great example of a proximity company that understands the need to create apps that offer clear value to consumers in their daily lives. We look forward to empowering Smart Fission´s clients with online retargeting to create a holistic unified marketing strategy.”
The Unacast network is the largest network of proximity companies in the world and now includes 28 partners and over 1 million deployed sensors globally, cementing its number one status as the backend of all proximity data. The full list of official Unacast PROX Network partners is: Estimote, Sensoro, Urban Airship, Signal360, Mowingo, Tamoco, Total Communicator Solutions, Mobstac, Bluesense Networks, ZOS Communication, Pointr, BeaconsInSpace, Dot3, Sweetspot, FreshBeacons, Ebizu, ShopJoy, Fluxloop, Emplate, Nimble Devices, Abhrio, Oyalo, GEOConnect, Beekn4U, BubbleMee, Nexen, Lightcurb and SmartFission.
The ability to connect what customers do offline in the real world to what they do online – combining their physical and digital selves - means greater convenience, faster shopping, immersive experiences, more relevant communications tailored products and offers. Customers increasingly expect real time customized services and personalized interactions based on their interests through their smartphones, but the logical progression to convergence between physical and digital hasn’t been possible at scale until the creation of the Unacast PROX Network.
