ARLINGTON, Va.--()--Startup companies exhibiting in the Eureka Park Marketplace at CES® have been funded at more than $1 billion to date collectively, according to an analysis* conducted by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA)™, formerly the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA)®, and data provided by CrunchBase. The analysis reviewed the more than 1,100 startup companies that have exhibited in Eureka Park since its inception in 2012. At least 100 of these startups have been funded at $1 million or more; view the leaderboard to see their rankings. Building on its continued growth and success over the last four years, the Eureka Park Marketplace returns to CES 2016 for its fifth year with 500 companies, up from 375 in 2015. Owned and produced by CTA, CES is the world’s gathering place for all who thrive on the business of consumer technology.

“We are in the middle of a revolutionary wave of innovation where game-changing ideas are springing up from small companies and entrepreneurs all over the world,” said Gary Shapiro, president and CEO, Consumer Technology Association. “We are proud to host some of the most brilliant minds in emerging technology at Eureka Park. We continue to be wowed by the success stories coming from these innovative startups as they present potentially game-changing concepts and prototypes to an eco-system on the CES show floor designed to help these startups grow and thrive.”

As the flagship destination for startups at CES, Eureka Park provides a unique opportunity to launch new products, services and ideas, be discovered and build business relationships. Eureka Park has grown by 400 percent since 2012 when it launched with an inaugural 100 exhibitors, confirming that emerging innovation is at the heart of CES.

At CES 2016, the Eureka Park Marketplace, presented by the National Science Foundation and Techstars, will be located at CES Tech West, on Level 1 of the Sands Convention Center, and features the latest innovations from 500 startup companies from 29 countries, with more than 50 percent of exhibitors coming from outside the U.S. New countries represented in Eureka Park in 2016 include Austria, Czech Republic, Greece, Netherlands, New Zealand, Russia, Taiwan, Turkey, and UAE. At the show, Eureka Park is segmented by specific verticals such as wearables, smart home, health and sports tech, 3D printing, audio and video and virtual reality.
