According to the complaint, the Company issued materially false and misleading statements to investors and/or failed to disclose material information regarding Vital’s ELAD System studies, VTI-208, VTI-210, and VTI-212, including: (1) the studies’ independent significance; (2) the degree to which the studies were interrelated; and (3) that in the case of the failure of the VTI-208 trial, Vital Therapies would not continue the VTI-210 trial.
