PLANO, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Rent-A-Center, Inc. (NASDAQ/NGS:RCII) today announced the appointment of Fred Mattox to divisional vice president of its Acceptance Now (ANOW) division.
ANOW operates over 1900 rent-to-own kiosks in third-party retail stores across the country.
Reporting to Mark Denman, ANOW executive vice president, Mattox is charged with oversight of approximately 500 stores.
“Fred brings over three decades of rent-to-own experience to his new role at Acceptance Now,” said Denman. “He’s a proven leader with vast operational knowledge.”
Mattox’s career dates to 1985 when he accepted a position as a customer-account representative in Rosenburg, TX for the Lone Star T.V. Rental Company.
Most recently, he was vice president of operations, merchandising and marketing functions for RAC Franchising International. Before then he served as a divisional vice president for Rent-A-Center where he ascended through the ranks after being hired as a district manager in 1995.
