SAN MATEO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--ShopRunner, the members-only online shopping service, today announced that 85% of its members intend to shop on Cyber Monday, dominating over both Black Friday and Thanksgiving this year. The finding was revealed as part of the Company’s 2015 Holiday Consumer Study, which surveys its members weekly during the season about their plans for holiday shopping. Additionally, recognizing the importance of Cyber Monday, many ShopRunner retailers are actually planning to offer better deals on Cyber Monday vs. on Black Friday.
Surprisingly, the study also found that consumers are favoring online shopping this Black Friday, with only 25% planning to shop in-store, compared to 66% who plan to shop via desktop or laptop. Additional findings from the study include:
- Nearly half (49%) of consumers surveyed plan to shop on Thanksgiving.
- ShopRunner members plan to shop more on their mobile devices (17%) than in-store (13%) on Thanksgiving.
- 24% of survey respondents plan to shop on mobile devices on Cyber Monday.
- While nearly half (46%) of consumers have already started their holiday shopping, only 6% expect to finish by the end of Thanksgiving weekend.

Survey Methodology
The study was conducted from November 1-24, 2015, and surveyed a nationally representative group of highly engaged online and mobile shoppers. There were over 2,500 respondents.
