ARLINGTON, Va.--()--The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA), the leading association representing the manufacturers and suppliers of high-tech communications networks, today announced that its annual flagship Network of the Future Conference will be held from June 6-9, 2016 in Dallas, Texas.

The TIA 2016: Network of the Future Conference is a transformational event bringing together the diverse stakeholders supplying and using communications networks. The conference will explore technology innovations, challenges, the regulatory environment, and evolving business opportunities that are central to how consumers and businesses connect to communications networks including:

  • The revolution of 5G wireless networks;
  • Scalability, security and interoperability of the Internet of Things;
  • Network virtualization; and
  • Cybersecurity and network security.

“Communications networks of the future will no longer be defined as wireline or wireless,” said TIA CEO Scott Belcher. “We are already seeing a converged network emerge where content distributors are now service providers. TIA 2016 is the only North American industry conference to convene the entire communications ecosystem to discuss the challenges and opportunities of this new network. No other conference brings together high-tech manufacturers and suppliers; wireless, wireline, cable and satellite broadband providers; the over-the-top players and end-users in one place to map out the future of communications. This event is not to be missed as attendees weigh in on the direction the industry.”
