PEMBROKE, Bermuda--(BUSINESS WIRE)--PartnerRe Ltd. (NYSE:PRE) today announced that Dan Bolgar, formerly CEO at AXIS Accident & Health Reinsurance, has been appointed Head of Health at PartnerRe effective November 16, 2015. Mr. Bolgar will be based out of PartnerRe’s Minneapolis office reporting to Marvin Pestcoe, CEO Life & Health PartnerRe.
His appointment follows the announcement by Dennis Heinzig, Head of Health and President of PartnerRe America Insurance Company, that he will retire in 2016.

Mr. Bolgar has more than 20 years’ experience in the accident & health reinsurance sector. Prior to joining AXIS, he was EVP at Willis Re responsible for their global A&H division.

Mr. Heinzig was the CEO of California-based Presidio Reinsurance Group, a leading U.S. specialty accident and health reinsurance and insurance writer that was acquired by PartnerRe in 2012. He will continue as President of PartnerRe America Insurance Company during the transition, reporting to Mr. Pestcoe.
