Foxwoods® Resort Casino Spreads Cheer this Holiday Season with 3rd Annual “Stuff the Bus” Giving Campaign

Donations to Benefit Local Families Will Be Collected Throughout November and December

MASHANTUCKET, Conn.--()--Foxwoods® Resort Casino, the largest resort casino in North America, is excited to share that its holiday giving campaign, “Stuff the Bus,” is back for a third year! With all proceeds benefitting the United Way of Southeastern Connecticut and its “Tommy Toy” Fund program, the seasonal donation event starts November 7th and runs through December 12th. For five weeks Foxwoods will collect new, unwrapped children’s toys, blankets, pajamas, jackets and diapers and donate them to local families in need. Contributions will be received from 8 a.m. to 12 a.m. daily at the Foxwoods Bus Terminal, Bay #1, where a bus will accept donations from guests and team members.

Additional drop off locations will be available throughout the property, including the bus lobby, The Fox Tower Hotel lobby and front desk, The Norwich Spa at Foxwoods, and the Two Trees Inn at Foxwoods, among others.

We couldn’t make a difference in the lives of these people without the participation of guests, team members and the public, for which we are grateful.”

To formally kick-off the “Stuff the Bus” campaign, Foxwoods will host a launch celebration on Saturday, November 7th at 11 a.m. in from of the Grand Pequot Tower hotel. Members of the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Council will officially start the program by making donations of their own on the bus.

The Tommy Toy Fund, which provides the items, will have three sites open to distribute on December 16th and 17th. The locations are the Dayville Commons in Killingly, the old Floor Covering Shop on Main Street in Norwich, and the Gemma Moran Food Center in New London. Those in need can register to receive these items through their social service agency from November 16th through December 11th. Coupons to fill out and bring to the agencies will be available starting November 15th in The Bulletin and for download at http://www.norwichbulletin.com/.
