IRVINE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--On November 11, Veteran’s Day, Pepperdine University Graziadio School of Business and Management will host a Military Meet and Greet in honor of all military members who have served and continue to serve our nation. Veteran alumni and Graziadio staff and faculty will meet with current and prospective veteran students. Veterans from the local community, spouses, and others who wish to pay tribute to those who have served in the U.S. military are welcome to attend this complimentary event.
Eric Bashaw, a marine veteran who is currently enrolled in the joint Bachelor of Science in Management and MBA program (MBAJ) at the Graziadio School will speak at the event. Both Bashaw and Garcia will discuss their military background and student experience at Pepperdine University.
“We regularly hear from veterans like Eric and Ruben that they chose Pepperdine because we value shared principles such as integrity, respect, selfless service, duty, and courage,” said David M. Smith, dean of the Graziadio School. “On Veterans Day we want to let our veterans know that we appreciate their service to our country and hold them in the highest regard.”
The Military Meet and Greet event will be held on November 11 (Veteran’s Day) from 6 to 8 P.M. at the Pepperdine Graziadio Business School Irvine Campus at 18111 Von Karman Avenue, Irvine, CA 92612. Heavy appetizers will be served. To attend this complimentary event please register here.
The Pepperdine Graziadio School of Business and Management, a top ranked school, has one of the most generous programs to support veterans. The Yellow Ribbon Program, which is a benefit under the Post-9/11 Veterans Educational Assistance Act, provides funding for veterans to receive an advanced degree. The Department of Veterans Affairs allocates a national maximum tuition allowance per academic year for eligible veterans. Pepperdine University covers any tuition exceeding this amount for eligible veterans so that they can attend tuition-free. In addition, Pepperdine does not limit the number of Yellow Ribbon-eligible students accepted. Nearly seventy percent of the current student veterans are in the Yellow Ribbon Program enabling them to attend tuition-free.
