ANN ARBOR, Mich.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Downtown Ypsilanti will be in the spotlight on November 6, from 4 to 5:30 p.m., during the Innovate Ypsilanti Downtown Office Space Tour. Hosted by Ann Arbor SPARK and the Ypsilanti Commercial Space Team, the event features networking and tours of a total of 25,000 sq ft of available commercial spaces that are move-in ready in downtown Ypsilanti. This free event is open to the public, including commercial real estate brokers, professionals, entrepreneurs, students and anyone looking for office space.
Attendees to the Innovate Ypsilanti Downtown Office Space Tour will also learn about commercial real estate financial incentives and programs available for companies looking to locate in Ypsilanti.
“The Innovate Ypsilanti tour will show that there are great, affordable offices available; at roughly $12-14 per square foot, Ypsilanti office space is an incredibly affordable option for growing businesses,” said Paul Krutko, president and CEO of Ann Arbor SPARK. “We also want to educate growing businesses on the incentives that are available in Ypsilanti that can reduce a company’s operating costs. The Washtenaw County Board of Commissioners has allocated Act 88 funds to SPARK to be used to incentivize company locations in Ypsilanti.”
The self-guided property tour begins with a welcome reception from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at Back Office Studio in Ypsilanti. The reception will include a presentation at 5 p.m. on incentives available to growing businesses in Ypsilanti. A full agenda is available online.
The Innovate Ypsilanti tour is a partnership between Ann Arbor SPARK, First Fridays Ypsi, the Michigan Economic Development Corp, the City of Ypsilanti, the Ypsilanti Downtown Development Authority, and Washtenaw County Office of Community and Economic Development, as well as several local building owners and brokers. First Fridays is a self-guided art walk event that happens on the first Friday of each month. All venues provide free art events including displayed art, live music, art workshops and more. The First Fridays theme for November is “move-in ready space.”
