MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Last week, the California Israel Chamber of Commerce (CICC) held CiConnect 2015, its annual California Israel Business Summit at the Microsoft Venue, Mountain View, CA.
This year, CiConnect focused on the innovation fusion between multiple technology segments including: IoT, Cyber Security, Big Data, Cloud, and Mobile. With 400 attendees, CiConnect featured 50 speakers and showcased a delegation of 28 promising Israeli startups offering innovative technologies in these fields.
The CICC partnered with RBC Capital Markets to grant the CiConnect 2015 RBC Innovation Award to the most innovative startup in the delegation.
“The quality of candidates was high since the participating startups had already undergone a careful and thorough selection process by the CICC team ahead of CiConnect 2015,” said Sasson Darwish, Managing Director at RBC Capital Markets. “The RBC-assembled committee evaluated each company based on the uniqueness of its product or service, the value it creates for the end user and evidence of its success. We were excited to collaborate with the CICC, to recognize GreenIQ as the winner, and we look forward to continuing to grant the CiConnect RBC Innovation Award in coming years.”
Among the three finalists were:
-Augury, which offers a mobile-based solution that automatically diagnoses machines based on the sounds that they make.
-GreenIQ, an IoT startup that developed a Smart Garden Hub.
-FireLayers, which offers a secure cloud application platform.
GreenIQ, a leader in the smart garden revolution, was named the winner of the CiConnect 2015 RBC Innovation Award. GreenIQ’s Smart Garden Hub controls irrigation scheduling based on current and forecasted weather and saves up to 50% on the outdoor water consumption. GreenIQ is the only product to provide complete and affordable IoT Smart Garden Eco-Platform by providing a watering based on weather forecast, connectivity to 3rd parties IoT devices such as Parrot Flower Power and others, lighting Control, Waterproof body, Internal cellular modem, and a centralised control of multiple units.
“We are honored to be awarded the CiConnect 2015 RBC Innovation Award,” said Odi Dahan, founder and CEO of GreenIQ. “The majority of water systems used today are based on insufficient technologies developed in the 80’s and do not take weather into consideration. The Smart Garden Hub that GreenIQ has developed optimizes water usage according to weather conditions and soil moisture to save both water and money.”
