LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--MMP (USA) announces a Worldwide Business with kathy ireland exclusive interview with -- P97 Networks, a company that provides PetroZone, a cloud based mobile commerce and digital marketing platform that enables geo-location based mobile payments tailored for the retail fuels market.
During the segment, Kathy Ireland interviewed President and CEO of the company, Donald Frieden.
Donald Frieden commented on the reason many mobile payment solutions are not supported by the retail fuels market by stating, "For this market, we really need three things for mass adoption of mobile payments. First, it has to be easier to use than swiping a credit card at the gas pump. Secondly, it has to be more secure than paying with your credit card. Thirdly, consumers have to be incentivized to adopt a new payment method."
He continued by speaking about what P97 is doing to address this by stating, "Our mobile platform provides a simple application that consumers can download to their mobile phone to pay. Further, it provides incentives for merchants such as lower transaction fees if they accept mobile payments. It also provides rewards and discounts to consumers that download the app and pay with it."
JL Haber, Vice President of Programming of Worldwide Business with kathy ireland, was quoted stating, "This is an interesting new concept that can really help both consumers and businesses in the retail fuels market by saving money all around."
