CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Today, Human Capital Media, publisher of Talent Management magazine, announced the release of its third annual Diversity Value Index (DVI). The DVI benchmarking program is designed to examine how organizations are implementing best practices for diversity and inclusion (D&I) in all facets of the enterprise, from strategy to business valuation. Senior editors and researchers at HCM partner with a team of senior diversity executives to develop a forward-thinking framework designed to prove the link between workplace diversity and business value.
The DVI is the only tool in the marketplace that identifies key areas in need of growth for a company’s D&I initiatives. In addition to addressing the presence of diversity in an organization, the DVI also provides the unique ability to determine any potential correlation between D&I and business outcomes.
“Understanding diversity best practices is important because it allows a company to bring a variety of perspectives into its ethos and gain greater insight into its customer base — both of which increase the company’s value,” said Sarah Kimmel, vice president of research at HCM. “Our DVI program is the only available tool in the marketplace to prove whether business value is being gained through the D&I function of an organization. The purpose of an HR department should always be to create an environment for people to succeed and therefore strengthen a company. This tool allows for that success to be measured.”
Participants represented in the program include organizations from a wide variety of industries, sizes and services, such as Capgemini, Ingersoll Rand and Towers Watson.
