SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Cloudmark, Inc., a trusted leader in intelligent network security, today announced that Director of Engineering Angela Knox has been named as one of the leading women in cybersecurity by CBR Magazine. This recognition is the latest acknowledgement of Knox’s recent work promoting women in cybersecurity.
Currently, only 11 percent of people in the IT security profession are women. A lack of mentorship and salary discrepancies are just some of the obstacles impacting women’s participation in the industry. During the RSA Conference in April, Knox championed the benefits and importance of having more women working in cybersecurity, and the need to counteract common misperceptions within the industry.
