NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Holwell Shuster & Goldberg LLP announced today that Robert Morrow has joined the firm as of counsel in New York. A seasoned litigator, Bob has handled cases at trial and in arbitrations nationwide.
Over the past 25 years, Bob’s trial experience includes precedent-setting environmental insurance coverage victories in New Jersey involving scores of defendants and dozens of environmental sites; a historic jury verdict for health care companies against the tobacco industry; and a multi-billion-dollar insurance coverage jury trial and damages arbitration in New York following the destruction of the World Trade Center complex on September 11, 2001.
Bob started his career at White & Case, where he worked with Holwell Shuster & Goldberg partners Hon. Richard Holwell, Mike Shuster, Dan Goldberg, and Dwight Healy on many complex matters including, among others, lawsuits arising from hostile takeovers.
“Bob is a wonderful colleague and friend, and more importantly, an even better trial lawyer,” said Judge Holwell, co-founder of the firm and a former judge in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. “We’re very happy to have a litigator of his abilities assisting our clients in their most important matters.”
In addition to managing and litigating lengthy and complex disputes, often involving multiple jurisdictions, Bob regularly advises and litigates on behalf of policyholders, insurers, and reinsurers in liability, property, and professional insurance matters.
“I am delighted to reunite with my former colleagues at Holwell Shuster & Goldberg,” said Bob. “It feels like a homecoming. But it’s also clear that Rick, Mike, and Dan have started an entirely new enterprise with a lot of fresh energy around it. I am excited to participate in that.”
Prior to joining Holwell Shuster & Goldberg, Bob was a partner at Hunton & Williams.
Holwell Shuster & Goldberg has experienced significant growth over the past year-and-a-half, nearly doubling its attorney count and has continued to recruit a strong bench of talent, including two former United States Supreme Court clerks. Vincent Levy clerked for Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg and previously practiced at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz; Daniel Sullivan, who clerked for Justice Antonin Scalia, joined the firm from Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher.
