Arch Reinsurance Company Announces Appointment of Chief Underwriting Officer

MORRISTOWN, N.J.--()--Arch Reinsurance Company today announced that Joel Livingston was appointed as Chief Underwriting Officer of Arch Reinsurance Company on September 30th. In his role, Mr. Livingston will have responsibility for the Company’s underwriting policies and procedures, reporting to Jerome Halgan, President of the Company.

Mr. Livingston has almost 30 years of reinsurance experience, most recently as Chief Operating Officer at Alterra Reinsurance USA. After leaving Alterra in 2013, he was part of the management team for proposed hedge fund reinsurer Golub Capital Re. In addition, prior to Alterra, Mr. Livingston was Managing Director at Harbor Point and Chubb Re. Tim Olson, Arch Reinsurance Company Chief Executive Officer said: “We are exceedingly fortunate to have an individual with both the talent and experience of Joel. We welcome his insights and creative thinking to Arch.”
