Grammy®-Winning Jazz Pianist Joins ArtistWorks – and the Response is off the Charts

George Whitty joins an esteemed group of online teaching artists at ArtistWorks

NAPA, Calif.--()--ArtistWorks, arguably the ambassador for a new breed of interactive learning that connects world-class musicians with enthusiastic amateurs announced today a select partnership with Grammy®-winning and Emmy nominated jazz pianist, George Whitty.

Aside from his celebrated jazz piano playing abilities, Whitty is a talented producer, arranger and composer. His musical credits include working with a long list of top recording artists such as Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Chaka Khan, Carlos Santana, Celine Dion, Grover Washington, Jr., David Sanborn and many others. He’s taught master classes and clinics in more than 20 countries around the world, teaching jazz piano as well as sharing his mastery on producing and scoring music.

“ArtistWorks has all the advantages of a classroom environment, of a private lesson and also as a resource to the student that is available to them at 3:00 in the morning if that’s when they choose to look at the lesson,” said George Whitty. “It’s really an ideal format, especially the Video Exchange capability. I’m really pleased to be here at ArtistWorks as the new professor of jazz piano.”

As sole provider of the patented Video Exchange® Learning platform, ArtistWorks provides the space for Whitty to teach jazz piano via HD video lessons. These lessons include direct feedback to subscribing students. Utilizing simple web cams, smartphones, tablets or video cameras, students are able to submit practice videos and then receive individualized video feedback and guidance from Whitty - creating a constantly evolving two-way, online learning experience. Students have full access to the library of multi-camera angle lessons, but they also benefit in substantial ways from this new generation of online visual assessment.
