Aerosim Flight Academy and Everglades University Partner to Offer Future Pilots Scholarships and Direct Access to Advanced Degrees

SANFORD, Fla.--()--Graduates from Aerosim Flight Academy who earn the private, instrument and commercial Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certification are now eligible to earn 27 articulated credits toward a Bachelor of Science Degree in Aviation/Aerospace at Everglades University – Orlando.

“College experience is becoming increasingly appealing to regional and major airlines. Our partnership with Everglades University provides pilots a pathway to earn their certificates and ratings, build flight hours, gain their four-year degree and transition to the airlines,” said President and General Manager, Aerosim Flight Academy Hank Coates.

Additionally, Everglades University will offer a scholarship of $1,000 per semester to qualified Aerosim Flight Academy students.

The agreement between Aerosim Flight Academy and Everglades University is a direct response and viable solution for the unprecedented demand for pilots spurred by a wave of pilot retirements, more international travel routes, new FAA mandates of 1,500 required flight hours, and a strengthening global economy.

“Aerosim Flight Academy takes pride in its successful history of supplying the airline industry with first rate pilots. We are passionate about helping our students learn how to fly by achieving two main goals - training students to be the most knowledgeable, safe, and sought-after pilots in the aviation industry and helping students and flight instructors achieve their dreams by placing them with an airline,” Coates noted.

“Everglades University was founded on its aviation degree programs and we continue to strive to provide opportunities for aviation professionals interested in pursuing successful careers in the aviation/aerospace industry so we are extremely excited about our collaboration with Aerosim,” said Kristi Mollis, president and CEO of Everglades University. “Our agreement with Areosim will provide flight students and flight instructors a seamless pathway from Aerosim into Everglades University’s Bachelor of Science Degree in Aviation/Aerospace and subsequently with tremendous career advancement opportunities. The combination of the FAA certifications and academic training will allow these students to excel in the aviation industry.”
