MENLO PARK, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Goodwin Procter, a leading Am Law 50 and Global 50 law firm, announced today that Cindy McAdam is joining the firm as a partner in its Technology & Life Sciences Group and will be resident in the firm’s Silicon Valley office. She comes to Goodwin from Bay Area technology company Xapo, where she served as President and General Counsel.

McAdam has more than 17 years of experience working with entrepreneurs, as both in-house and outside counsel, and represents start-ups and other private and public companies on matters involving corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property management, securities compliance, privacy and data security, and employment law. She has held senior leadership, management and legal roles for various technology start-ups, including companies focused on financial services, including digital currency (Xapo), and mobile payments and mobile wallets (Bling Nation/Lemon Wallet), and SaaS data security (Postini).
