PALO ALTO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Paradigm Counsel LLP, an innovative law firm delivering high-value legal services to technology companies of all sizes, announced today that veteran corporate and technology transactions attorney Greg Wrenn has joined the firm as a partner, and will lead the growth of the firm’s new Seattle office.
The opening of the Seattle office comes on the heels of the firm’s recent opening of a San Francisco outpost to better serve the firm’s growing number of clients based in San Francisco.
“We are extremely pleased to welcome Greg to the firm and excited to have such a respected and experienced technology lawyer leading our new Seattle office,” said Maureen S. Dorney, founder and managing partner of Paradigm Counsel. “Adding a Seattle office with Greg at the helm enables us to stay true to our roots and focus on delivering high-value legal services to our growing client-base in the technology and retail sectors. Our expansion plans are very much driven by existing client needs and made with the focus on our firm remaining highly nimble and lean, while retaining the ability to be extremely responsive to the dynamic needs of our clients. Our expansion to Seattle and San Francisco fits in nicely with these objectives.”
Wrenn is a Washington native and former Senior Vice President and general counsel and secretary of three Nasdaq-listed Silicon Valley companies, Support.com, Borland and Openwave Systems, and senior counsel at Yahoo! and Adobe, with over 20 years in-house experience supporting software and Internet services companies. He is admitted to practice in Washington State and California. He earned his JD from University of California-Berkeley School of Law, where he was editor-in-chief of the High Tech Law Journal, and a BA in Business Administration from the University of Washington.
“The opportunity to return to private practice by joining Paradigm - a unique and highly regarded firm - was extremely compelling and I look forward to growing the firm’s presence in the vibrant and thriving Seattle technology market,” said Wrenn. “The firm’s model of experienced tech attorneys delivering a range of critical legal services to companies in a cost-effective way has been of great interest in the market and I look forward to helping the firm grow in a strategic way.”
The Seattle office is located at Two Union Square, 601 Union Street #5305, Seattle, WA 98010.
Since Paradigm Counsel was founded in 2008, it has grown from two to more than a dozen attorneys, expanded geographically, and grown its client base more than tenfold. The firm has advised on a wide variety of legal matters for its technology, clean technology and retail clients, including acquisitions, financings, privacy and security compliance, and a wide variety of technology licensing and commercial transactions. Moving forward the firm plans to focus on building the Seattle office, adding an office in New York in the near term, as well as continuing to expand its capabilities, to better meet clients’ needs.
