Backed by the Center for Health Design, the “High Touch Surfaces – A Systems Based Approach to Improved Healthcare Hygiene” workshop will be held in Chicago, September 9-10.
Discussions are expected to focus on integrating design, policies and protocols, compliance, and behavior into a systems-based approach to improve infection control in the healthcare environment, where traditional cleaning measures have been found to be inadequate on their own.
Participants will hear from key thought leaders including Linda Dickey, RN, MPH, CIC, Director of Epidemiology & Infection Prevention at the University of California Irvine Medical Center; Linda Lybert, President of Healthcare Surface Consulting; and Michael Schmidt, PhD, Professor and Vice Chairman of Microbiology and Immunology at the Medical University of South Carolina.
