Kashable Brings Financial Wellness Program to Head Start Preschool Programs; Signs on SMILE Community Action Agency in LA

Company provides alternative consumer lending solution to hard-working teachers and staff of non-profit educational institutions

NEW YORK & LAFAYETTE, La.--()--Kashable, an alternative consumer lending program for employees, today announced it has signed on SMILE Community Action Agency, a leading provider of comprehensive social services, including Head Start/Early Head Start, in South Louisiana. SMILE will now offer Group Credit to all of its qualifying employees through Kashable.

SMILE Community Action Agency joins the growing roster of Head Start grantees from NJ that launched this Employee Benefit back in 2014. Already serving thousands of employees across the country, Kashable’s mission is to provide the nation’s employers with impactful financial wellness programs that go beyond counseling and guidance to provide fast, responsible credit to qualified employees. Kashable’s online term loan program is offered as a voluntary benefit through employers; it provides disciplined, responsible and easy to manage credit at low rates starting at 6%.

“SMILE looks forward to partnering with Kashable,” said Mr. Royal Hill, Jr., CEO at SMILE Community Action Agency in LA. “We believe in offering our employees benefits that can make an immediate financial impact in their lives. Kashable was fast and easy to roll out, and flexible to accommodate both our nine and twelve-month employees.”

Head Start helps children from low-income families prepare for schooling from birth to 5 years old. The program is intended to enhance the students' cognitive, social and emotional development. Many Head Start programs also provide Early Head Start, which serves infants, toddlers, and pregnant women and their families who have incomes below the federal poverty level.

“We wanted to help SMILE give its team of teachers and caregivers something they can use to immediately improve their financial health: fast, safe and responsible credit,” said David Sherman VP Sales of Kashable. “These employees give so much to the community and we’re happy to be in a position to help them pay bills, provide access to responsible credit, to be able to cover emergencies or get through life happening events, as needed. Kashable is an ideal solution for SMILE as it can accommodate employees with different calendars.”
