Rise Becomes First Private Flight Sharing Service to Complete “Texas Triangle” with Scheduled Service between DAL, HOU and AUS

Faster than a speeding bullet train, more than 60 flights per week create a hyperlink between economic centers harkening back to travel innovation of the 1960s

DALLAS--()--Rise, the first membership air travel company of its kind in the United States, officially expanded private flight sharing to the entire Texas Triangle this week by adding multiple scheduled flights between Houston and Austin. Initial routes began flying in July on the Dallas-Houston and Dallas-Austin legs, and the addition of eight flights per week between Houston and Austin means frequent travellers now have a better, faster option to reach the state’s largest business hubs.

“It’s been 50 years since the last fundamental shift in air travel, and it’s no coincidence that the ‘Texas Triangle’ is the starting point for Rise to create a new standard for business travel,” said Nick Kennedy, CEO of Rise. “There’s never been anything quite like Rise in Texas or anywhere else, and we’re seeing in real time what happens when you take the stress out of air travel and give people huge chunks of time back in their lives.”

This new concept in air travel called Private Flight Sharing allows members to fly all they want on private planes for one fee, starting at $1,650 per month. Members can drive right up to the plane, step aboard, take off, and get home in time to enjoy their evening and spend it as they prefer. No endless parking garages, no lines, and no middle seats. It’s designed to be both time efficient and cost efficient – a private plane experience for the cost of flying frequent commercial.

“By the time I reached the two million mile mark on commercial airlines, I knew that no rewards program could give me time back with my wife and kids,” said Kennedy, who is a platinum/diamond level frequent flyer. “I started an airline with the simple goal of giving frequent travellers like me as much time back as possible, and every day I see on our members’ faces that flying Rise is its own reward.”

Members report that flying Rise consistently saves up to three hours in travel time for each round trip, while the community of members and the personalized service provided by the Rise Member Services team creates a unique flying experience.

Members use the private side of the major commercial airports, bypassing the crowds and lines, and fly aboard Rise-branded King Air 350 eight-passenger, twin-engine aircraft.

Rise offers three levels of individual membership as well as customized solutions to meet the needs of corporate travellers. Rise memberships are available in Houston, Austin, Midland and Dallas.
