SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Asteres Inc., the industry’s leading provider of automated kiosks for prescription pickup and consumer product sales in retail, hospital, and DOD/Veterans Administration pharmacies, announced today their installation at CHI Memorial Hixson in Chattanooga, TN. The ScriptCenter kiosk at CHI Memorial Hixson is the first in Tennessee and will service the prescription and OTC needs of the 500 employees and their dependents at the hospital.
CHI Memorial Hixson is a 70 bed hospital and was looking for ways to provide on-site access to prescriptions for employees without opening an outpatient pharmacy. They needed a cost effective solution to remotely manage the prescription needs of employees and their dependents. ScriptCenter allows employees and dependents at CHI Memorial Hixson to take advantage of the great CHI prescription pricing without the hassle of driving, parking, and waiting in line at the outpatient pharmacy 10 miles away.
CHI Memorial is the first in Tennessee to use ScriptCenter for prescription and OTC pickup after obtaining approval from the Tennessee Board of Pharmacy. As part of the Tennessee requirements, CHI Memorial will use ScriptCenter’s video consult and ID verification functionality to provide 24/7 communication between patients and pharmacy.
How it works:
- Employees order prescriptions by calling the CHI outpatient pharmacy located 10 miles away.
- Prescriptions are filled and verified by CHI pharmacy and then securely transported to ScriptCenter at CHI Memorial Hixson.
- For prescriptions that require counseling and/or ID verification, employees utilize ScriptCenter’s video consult and ID verification.
- Employees can pick up and pay for their prescriptions and OTC’s anytime!
