MALVERN, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Balfour Beatty Communities Foundation, a non-profit organization principally focused on supporting the post-secondary educational goals of residents who live in communities affiliated with Balfour Beatty Communities, announced that the appointment of a new director and officers. The new director is Gordon Daniels, and the new officers are Raul Martinez and Josh Smith.

- M. Gordon Daniels, Esquire is the Chief Executive Officer of Land Services, USA, Inc., one of the nation’s largest independent national title insurance agents. Prior to establishing Land Services USA, Inc., Mr. Daniels served in various positions in his almost 30 years in the title industry including commercial manager of a major national title insurer's national commercial division, various legal positions including Underwriting Counsel, Claims Counsel and Senior National Title Services Counsel. He served on various professional and non-profit boards including the Philadelphia Chapter of the National Association of Industrial Office Properties as well as a member of the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts. He was a recipient of the National Association of Industrial Office Properties Greater Philadelphia Award. He serves on the Board for the Chester County Bar Foundation and has previously served on of the Chadds Ford Township Planning Commission. Mr. Daniels will serve as a member of the Board of Directors of the Foundation.
- Raul Martinez, as Area Community Manager for Balfour Beatty Communities, LLC, oversees property management services for more than 7,500 military housing units. With more than 21 years of property management expertise, he has served in a variety of positions within the industry. He is also actively involved in numerous non-profit organizations in the Phoenix region and most recently founded the Karma Connects organization which benefits Phoenix-area homeless and animal shelters. Mr. Martinez will hold the position of Vice President.
- Josh Smith, Senior Vice President for Balfour Beatty Campus Solutions, LLC, is responsible for business development and client relationship management. He has more than 12 years of experience in the higher education sector and is an active participant in the industry’s professionals associations, including ACUHO-I, NACUBO and the Urban Land Institute. Mr. Smith is also an active member of his local community through his involvement with the local chapter of the Salvation Army, the Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center, and the local counsel of the Knights of Columbus. Mr. Smith will hold the position of Vice President.
