CULVER CITY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--XAP Corporation (XAP) is pleased to announce that Eddie Monnier assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer effective July 29, 2015. Peter B. Knepper, who was previously serving as CEO, has stepped down. Mr. Knepper will remain at the company as a consultant for a brief period to facilitate a smooth transition.
“My four years at XAP," said Peter Knepper, "have been ones focused on the strengthening of our technology performance and increasing system efficiency. Given our market reach, a primary focus of mine has been to provide our technology team with the support they need to ensure reliability of our systems. The team has done an excellent job of ensuring stability, specifically during our ‘busy season,’ when millions of college applications are processed.”
“I am pleased to join the talented and committed XAP team and I look forward to working with the team to continue and to build upon the improvements the team realized under Peter’s leadership,” added Eddie Monnier. “I’m particularly excited about the launch of our new product, Choices360, a comprehensive district-level tool designed to provide a one-stop shop for career and education planning needs for students and their educators. The response to early launch efforts has been very encouraging and we look forward to our more formal launch efforts later this year.”
Mr. Monnier brings more than 15 years of hands-on leadership across strategy, operations and finance. Most recently, he has been an independent advisor on growth initiatives for middle market companies. Mr. Monnier also spent eight years as Head of Portfolio Operations for Corridor Capital, a lower middle market private equity investor. In this role, he served as group CEO and collaborated with portfolio management teams on strategy development and execution, financial analysis and reporting, operations enhancement, and acquisitions. Previously, he was Vice President, Business Development & Strategy for various subsidiaries of Liberty Media, where he executed investment and corporate strategy initiatives focused on entertainment and related technologies. Additionally, Mr. Monnier has extensive experience as a director in both public and private company boards. He holds an M.B.A. from the Wharton School of Business and dual B.A. degrees in philosophy and anthropology (with departmental honors) from Emory University.
