STAMFORD, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The American College of Radiology (ACR) Education Center will continue to offer comprehensive, interactive radiology education courses utilizing FUJIFILM Medical Systems medical imaging solution: Synapse® PACS. A total of eight different courses comprising 30 sessions are held annually, including Body MR, MSK MR, Cardiac MR, Neuroradiology, HRCT and Emergency Imaging utilizing the Synapse PACS system software.
“The ACR Education Center is leading the way in continuing medical education for the radiology community. We are proud to provide the ACR with resources that are needed to offer one-of-a-kind courses,” said Jim Morgan, vice president of Medical Informatics, FUJIFILM Medical Systems U.S.A., Inc. ”Attendees will be able to experience and use Synapse PACS and directly apply the training they received in their course to their practice.”
Since 2009, Fujifilm has offered technical and on-site support at the ACR Education Center that has enhanced the state-of-the-art training facility that offers radiologists hands-on instruction from world-class faculty specializing in various subspecialties.
“At the ACR Education Center, we want to enable every attendee to learn in a simulated clinical environment — viewing and interacting with complete DICOM datasets on actual clinical workstations. For our PACS-based courses, we are thrilled to have Fujifilm’s continued commitment. The ease of use of the product, the robustness of the application, and the technical support provided by Fujifilm has made them an ideal partner,” said Ronald E. Freedman, executive vice president of education, marketing, publications and corporate relations, American College of Radiology.
Synapse PACS is integrated with the ACR Case Engine, ACR’s proprietary learning methodology, which provides attendees immediate, real-time feedback as they report their findings and progress through each course’s case library.
To date, over 8,000 physicians from nearly 40 countries and every state in the U.S. have completed training at the ACR Education Center in Reston, Virginia.
