The blend will also be available Aug. 12 through Sept. 30 in all Bay Area Peet’s retail locations. In addition, five percent of proceeds will benefit underserved youth through the Giants Community Fund.

Javier Lopez and Jeremy Affeldt; Special Peet’s Appearance, August 14
In celebration of the new blend, San Francisco Giants pitchers’ Javier Lopez and Jeremy Affeldt will make special appearances and serve drinks to Peet’s customers from 12 to 1 p.m. on August 14 at two of its local cafes. Also, customers who spend $20 or more on this day will receive a free, co-branded Peet’s and Giants tumbler.* These appearances will be held at the following Peet’s cafes:
- Javier Lopez Appearance: Peet’s Chestnut Store (2080 Chestnut, San Francisco)
- Jeremy Affeldt Appearance: Peet’s at the San Francisco Ferry Building (1 Ferry Building, Shop 43)
The Lopez appearance will support Juma Ventures, a nonprofit dedicated to helping young people complete four-year college degrees. Peet’s is a long-time supporter of Juma as many Juma students staff Peet’s concessions at AT&T Park. The Affeldt appearance will benefit his own nonprofit, Generation Alive, which he founded in 2005, that helps develop young leaders by serving their communities and learning to live a life of compassion towards other youth who live with the pain of extreme poverty.
