Dayton Power and Light Provides More Than $400,000 in Corporate Grants to Miami Valley Organizations in First Half of 2015

DAYTON, Ohio--()--Dayton Power and Light (DP&L), a subsidiary of The AES Corporation (NYSE: AES), has funded education, programs and events for more than 67 Miami Valley organizations totaling $409,236 during the first half of 2015.

By partnering with organizations like Think TV, Five Rivers MetroParks, We Care Arts and Boy Scouts of America, DP&L is investing in the communities where our customers and our employees live with their families, work at jobs enhancing the economy and volunteer to make a difference for others.

Among the grants DP&L has provided during the first half of 2015 are $50,000 to Think TV; $9,000 to Five Rivers MetroParks; $20,000 to We Care Arts; $14,000 to the Ohio Minority Supplier Development Council; $10,000 to Boy Scouts of America-Miami Valley Council; $10,000 to Fisher/Nightingale Houses; $40,000 to help fund the U.S. Air Force Marathon and the Freedom Call Tattoo at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base; and over $44,000 to programs throughout Dayton and other area Chambers of Commerce.
