WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--New Leaf Africa (NLA), facilitators of long-term, sustainable development programs in Africa, continues to grow and make a positive impact in African regions with its newest office opening in Sierra Leone.
The office in Sierra Leone will bring proactive initiatives to the country to work against the erosion of the local mangroves and forests. Sierra Leone's contribution to global emissions of green house gases is negligible, yet they are one of the countries that are most effected by climate change.
The issue of mangroves and natural forests plays a vital role both economically and environmentally. New Leaf Africa will survey and lead project design to protect these natural resources from further degradation.
“We are excited to announce the opening of our Sierra Leone office,” said Michael Keister, Co Founder and Board Member at New Leaf Africa. “These projects will help thousands of people develop a more efficient, economic livelihood.”
