AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nimboxx™, a leader in Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI) solutions, today announced it has entered into a distribution relationship with Ingram Micro Inc., (NYSE: IM), a Fortune 100 company that delivers a full spectrum of global technology and supply chain services to businesses around the world. Through the agreement, Nimboxx becomes the first HCI solution provider in Ingram Micro’s Advanced Solutions Emerging Vendor Initiative (EVI) Program. The Ingram Micro EVI Program has been in play since 2012 and is designed to help new and emerging vendors maximize success with Ingram Micro and its channel partners.
“As the market for hyperconverged infrastructure solutions continues to mature, organizations around the world are looking to adopt this approach and reduce datacenter costs and complexity,” said David Cauthron, CEO of Nimboxx. “Ingram Micro has an impressive track record and will be a great alliance partner to help expand our reach and bring the benefits of HCI to an even broader audience. We are confident this relationship will yield strong results for our customers.”
Under the terms of the agreement, Ingram Micro’s Advanced Solutions team will market, sell and support Nimboxx’s entire portfolio of HCI and virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) solutions. Ingram Micro will also provide Nimboxx market development expertise and access to Ingram Micro vendor licensing to help support and manage price quoting, pipeline management, order fulfillment and customer support.
“Ingram Micro channel partners want innovative technology solutions and are showing strong interest in HCI,” said Scott Zahl, vice president, Advanced Solutions, Ingram Micro. “By converging servers, storage, networking and management into a single unit, Nimboxx is offering channel partners a scalable, low-cost alternative to traditional siloed datacenter solutions. We are pleased to welcome Nimboxx to our growing portfolio of advanced solutions.”
The Nimboxx portfolio of web-scale hyperconverged devices offers server, storage and networking in a single appliance, delivering ‘Private Cloud in a Box’ functionality to companies of all sizes. Unlike many other hyperconverged technologies, the entire software stack was developed by Nimboxx and requires no integrations or additional license costs. Nimboxx is also the only single-vendor solution for HCI+VDI, having recently launched the VE-100, a powerful turnkey VDI appliance that allows users to rapidly deploy virtual desktops and host server workloads.
