NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Next-generation wedding registry Zola launched its first iPad app today and introduced 360°, a new way to register. 360° is a virtual shopping experience that merges online and offline by allowing couples to register in real-world settings, directly from their iPad.
Brands carried on Zola are excited about the 360° feature. Canvas Home founder Andrew Corrie explains, “We love the idea of couples all over the country shopping from our NYC showroom as though they were standing right there. Couples also find the prospect of registering less intimidating when they can see the products in a real-life setting. “It’s one thing to look at a basic online photo of an ice bucket, and another to see that ice bucket full of drinks at a rooftop party. Unlike other mobile shopping experiences, Zola’s new 360° feature is unique because:
- It is the first virtual shopping experience to be developed and integrated with a wedding registry.
- Immersive, 360-degree panoramic images bring physical spaces to life and create the ultimate registry experience.
- Couples can virtually explore products within real-world environments to see how they look or are used before adding them to their registry.
- At launch, users will be able to shop three distinct spaces: the Canvas Home showroom (explore the store as it looks in real life directly from the app) as well as a newlywed couple’s apartment and rooftop party.
The launch of 360° is the most recent example of how Zola is redefining the registry process for today’s couples and widening the innovation gap between itself and traditional retailers. Zola’s iPad app joins their top-rated iPhone and Apple Watch apps, making Zola the first registry to be available across all iOS devices.
