AUSTIN, Texas--()--Q2 Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: QTWO), a leading provider of secure virtual banking solutions to regional and community financial institutions, announced today that its Chief Financial Officer Jennifer Harris has won the Austin Business Journal’s award for Best CFO in the public-company category.

The Best CFO Awards recognize the fearless financial strategists who, in the fast-paced digital era, are far more than number crunchers, providing key guidance to CEOs and board directors of businesses to keep them on track and thriving. Winners were determined by a panel of judges comprised of local, well-respected CFOs in Austin, Texas.

“I think more than ever in the past, the CFO is increasingly called upon to be a key contributor in a company’s strategic planning,” said Harris. “CFOs have become key business partners providing financial information and operational metrics to other departments, providing them with valuable information they need to run their respective business functions.”

Harris brings more than 22 years of corporate accounting and financial experience to Q2 and helped take the company public on the New York Stock Exchange in 2013. Before joining Q2, Harris was involved in four other initial public offerings and held similar roles at successful Austin companies including Convio, Inc. and Motive, Inc.

“We are so pleased to see Jennifer recognized for this well-deserved award,” said Matt Flake, president and CEO of Q2. “We appreciate Jennifer’s integrity, professionalism, work ethic and passion for Q2’s people and purpose of strengthening communities by strengthening the financial institutions that serve them, and we are thrilled the rest of the world now knows about her too.”

The annual Best CFO Awards event was held Thursday, July 16 at the Driskill Hotel with some 180 attendees. Awards were handed out in several private company categories, plus public company and nonprofit categories, as well as a legacy award to a veteran CFO. Q&A profiles with the award winners were published in the July 17 weekly print and digital edition of Austin Business Journal.
