POWAY, Calif.--()--Novia Strategies, Inc. ( proudly celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, and is kicking off celebrations with industry recognition and a brand redesign, including the launch of a completely redesigned flagship website.

“Over the past two decades, we’ve saved hospitals hundreds of millions of dollars, improved patient throughput and redesigned delivery so they can continue to care for their patients for generations to come,” says Nancy Lakier, CEO of Novia Strategies. “We’re incredibly proud of the fact that 100% of our clients are willing to provide references and that we have never missed a target.”

Originally founded under the name of InnoVia Health, Novia Strategies has grown from the vision of one person to become a dynamic, thriving consultancy with more than 150 clinical, financial and operational professionals working with leading hospitals, healthcare systems and IDNs across the country. When Nancy Lakier, now CEO and Managing Principal of Novia Strategies, first founded InnoVia in 1995, she had one goal in mind: To help hospitals and health systems improve their operations, quality and financial strength so they could continue to care for their patients for generations to come. To do so, Ms. Lakier focused primarily on care redesign and with their clinical backgrounds, she and the team were able to bring a unique clinical and operational perspective to hospitals. Over the following two decades, InnoVia – and then Novia Strategies – built on this strong foundation to become one of the nation’s longest-established clinician-owned, full-service healthcare consultancies in the country.

“Our heritage in care redesign and operations improvement means that today we have better methodologies, more experience, greater operational expertise and more hands-on practical knowledge of Care Management Transformation than most other consultancies,” says Nancy Lakier, CEO and Managing Principal of Novia Strategies. “We can truly help hospitals figure out how to operationalize care coordination, resource and outcome management, and population health management – all while caring for patients profitably and safely. That’s a pretty special opportunity.”

Over the years Novia Strategies has expanded its service offering to include nine services in total, though constantly remaining true to the goal of helping hospitals fund their future. Today, Novia works with clients to deliver integrated solutions across nine areas: Care Management Transformation, Surgery, Safety and Quality, Non Labor, Labor Productivity, Compensation and Benefits, Revenue Cycle, Pharmacy and Technology.

“The breadth of our service offering means we can help hospitals find greater cost-savings and efficiency improvements than what they might be able to find on their own,” says Bill Denton, Executive Vice President and Principal of Novia Strategies. “Our deep understanding of both the clinical and operational worlds allows us to ensure our clients achieve sustainable results through mentoring leaders and driving change that lasts.”

20th anniversary celebrations commence with industry recognition, new website

The year is already shaping up to be remarkable. In March, Novia Strategies was recognized as one of the best places to work in healthcare in the United States. The organizations featured on the list were selected by the Becker's Hospital Review editorial team based on a variety of criteria, including employee wellness initiatives and employee engagement as expressed through a sense of community and unity among employees.

“We employ the strategies within our organization that we bring to our clients through our compensation and benefit service line,” says Tina Wiseman, Chief Administrative Officer of Novia Strategies. “As a result, this deepens our intrinsic understanding of what levers most affect employee engagement.”

In addition, Novia recently launched their new flagship website at with a cleaner, richer and more engaging visitor experience. The redesign of the company’s website follows months of research, resulting in more streamlined navigation and improved user experience across desktops, tablets and smartphones. The site also features a Community Membership area, including a Virtual Library where visitors can find white papers and case studies showcasing best practices and learning from hospitals across the country. Over time, this area will expand in response to knowledge needs expressed by healthcare executive community members.
