Weinstein Company Becomes First Studio to Use Cardlytics’ Box Office Purchase Data to Engage with Active Moviegoers

ATLANTA--()--Cardlytics, the company that pioneered the global Card-Linked Marketing industry, is teaming up with independent media agency Palisades MediaGroup in an innovative new marketing campaign for The Weinstein Company (TWC) that will take a tremendous amount of guesswork out of getting proven moviegoers into theaters opening weekend.

The MPAA 2014 Theatrical Market Statistics Report outlines that 11% of moviegoers account for 51% of box office spend. Now more than ever, studios are focused on reaching this “active moviegoer” audience, as they are critical to box office success.

In a first-of-its-kind program, Palisades Media Group and TWC will be using Cardlytics’ purchase data to target active moviegoers who have not only purchased tickets online, but at the box office of all theater locations. As a result, TWC will reach the 85%+ of active moviegoers who purchase their tickets on site – providing the greatest opportunity to influence weekend box office for TWC’s upcoming boxing drama Southpaw, starring Jake Gyllenhaal, which hits theaters nationwide on July 24th.
